Jim leads the agency with the confidence and competitive spirit that made him an All-American wide receiver at the University of Michigan, Canadian National Squash Champion and two-time U.S. Grand Masters squash champion. He still competes nationally.

Jim’s discipline and desire to be the best also led him to become the youngest Vice President at Campbell Ewald and the youngest ever Senior Vice President at Young & Rubicam before becoming an Executive Vice President and Board of Directors member at BBDO.

Having achieved every level of success at some of the industry’s most iconic agencies, Jim set out to build his own agency, which he has done with the greatest aplomb. Almost four decades later, Jim has helped countless clients to grow and flourish in the face of virtually any challenge.

His education has seen him through a B.A. in Economics at the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois, Ph.D. work at Southern Methodist University, and ongoing annual studies in advanced business practices at Harvard Business School alongside other titans of industry.

Jim’s civic involvement has been just as thorough. He currently chairs the Board of Trustees of CATCH (Sparky Anderson’s Charity for Children), is Chair of the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan board, Is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cranbrook Educational Community and is Vice Chair and a Board of Governor of the Cranbrook Academy of Art and Museum. Jim has also been President of YPO Gold, President of Adcraft, the largest advertising club in the world, President of MAGNET, the world’s largest independent adverting agency network, Chair of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Henry Ford Health System Neuroscience Institute Advisory Board.

Jim was inducted into the Detroit Advertising Hall of Fame and also the CATCH Hall of Fame, Who’s Who of America, and Who’s Who in Advertising.
