Jim Berline
Chairman
Jim leads the agency with the confidence and competitive spirit that made him an All-American wide receiver at the University of Michigan and a two-time U.S. Grand Masters squash champion. He’s still world ranked, too.
Jim’s discipline and desire to be the best also led him to become the youngest Vice President at Campbell Ewald and the youngest ever Senior Vice President at Young & Rubicam before becoming an Executive Vice President and Board of Directors member at BBDO.
Having achieved every level of success at some of the industry’s most iconic agencies, Jim set out to build his own agency, which he has done with the greatest aplomb. Almost four decades later, Jim has helped countless clients to grow and flourish in the face of virtually any challenge.
His education has seen him through a B.A. in Economics at the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois, Ph.D. work at Southern Methodist University, and ongoing annual studies in advanced business practices at Harvard Business School alongside other titans of industry.
Jim’s civic involvement has been just as thorough. He currently chairs the Board of Trustees of CATCH and is president of YPO Gold. He has been the President of the Adcraft Club of Detroit, the world’s largest advertising club, and Chairman of the Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan and Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, and chair of Henry Ford Health System Neuroscience Institute Advisory Council.
Jim was inducted into the Detroit Advertising Hall of Fame and also the CATCH Hall of Fame, Who’s Who of America, and Who’s Who in Advertising.
